Strawberry picking

I'm a self identified strawberry snob. Anyone who grew up in a place where you can go straight to the fields to get big, delicious, red Chandler strawberries by the flat is a strawberry snob. It's kind of impossible not to be because they are the most amazing food ever! ...unless you're allergic to strawberries, in which case I feel so so sorry for you!

Anyways, since leaving my beautiful homeland (central CA), I have not really been able to find good strawberries because they are shipped from CA. However, I've heard good things about MD strawberries that past few years. So when my friend T said she was going strawberry picking at Larriland Farm on Tuesday, I decided to tag along and hoped for delicious strawberries. We were assigned our rows to pick and a few minutes later some other families from our ward showed up. It was so cute seeing the kids play together and helpfully eat as they picked.

Thankfully, MD delivered on the yummy strawberry claims and I ate several while I picked, too! They are small here, but still juicy and sweet. I consumed the last of my pickings yesterday.
